Aunque uno de tus principales objetivos de irte a trabajar fuera es mejorar el idioma del país de destino, tienes que conocer y saber defenderte (aunque sea a nivel elemental) en el idioma que se pide.

Dependiendo del programa necesitarás un nivel más o menos alto de inglés, italiano, alemán… Pero si el empresario decide hacerte una entrevista por teléfono o vía Skype previamente, tienes que ser capaz de responder a las preguntas más básicas.

La mayoría de nuestros empresarios realizan las entrevistas en inglés, por eso te dejamos varios ejemplos de preguntas que pueden hacerte durante la entrevista. Fíjate en las respuestas porque pueden resultarte muy útiles:

PREGUNTA 1
What do you do if a customer:
– shout at you
– complaint

POSIBLES RESPUESTAS:
1) if I can I take him aside to avoid the fuss in front of the other customers.
2) I listen to his complaint giving him my full attention.
3) If the manager is available, I ask him to come and he will deal with the complaint while I get back to my work.
4) If the manager is not available, I just replace the coffee because the customer is always right (he is the King).

PREGUNTA 2
Why do you want to work in …?

POSIBLE RESPUESTA
(…) to be honest I have been in … Just once since I arrived a couple of days ago but I liked the atmosphere, the coffee and finally I found the staff caring and friendly.

PREGUNTA 3
What is flexibility for you?

– be able to work in both early and late shift.

– Be able to work when you are meant to be off

– a nice seating area if it is ‘to eat in’

Dedica un tiempo a preparar posibles respuestas para las preguntas de la entrevista, pero no te preocupes demasiado, el idioma no es lo más importante a la hora de conseguir el trabajo. Lo importante es que se te vea una persona desenvuelta y sepas salir del ‘apuro’, que tengas iniciativa, no seas vergonzoso… Recuerda que puedes preguntar tantas veces como quieras que te repitan la pregunta si no la has entendido bien. Eso sí, siempre con amabilidad y con una sonrisa.
